Inner Triad Operating System™
Shift Negative Self-Talk, Build Confidence and Strengthen Emotional Resilience
Living with ADHD and anxiety often means managing a constant stream of thoughts, emotions, and internal dialogue. Over time, these patterns can shape how you see yourself, respond to challenges, and move through the world. The Inner Triad Operating System™ is a practical, compassionate framework I’ve developed to help you better understand—and work with—your inner voice.
This approach is especially helpful for people navigating general anxiety, social anxiety, rejection sensitivity (RSD), perfectionism and imposter syndrome—experiences that are often deeply connected to patterns of negative self-talk. Instead of trying to eliminate these thoughts, the Inner Triad Operating System™ teaches you how to recognize, understand and respond to them differently.
The Inner Triad Operating System™ is made up of three parts: the Inner Ogre, the Inner Champion, and the Authentic Self. Together, these three parts create a system for understanding your internal experience and shifting how you talk to yourself.
The Three Parts of the Inner Triad Operating SysteM
The Inner Ogre: The Inner Ogre is the voice of criticism, doubt, and fear. It often reflects internalized messages from past experiences and tries to protect you by keeping you safe from risk, failure or disappointment with avoidance and self-doubt. While its approach can feel harsh or overwhelming, its intention is rooted in protection. This voice is often amplified in moments of anxiety, rejection sensitivity and perfectionism.
The Inner Champion: The Inner Champion is your voice of encouragement, compassion and support. It helps you reframe challenges, build confidence and approach uncertainty with curiosity instead of fear. This part reminds you that growth is possible and that you have the ability to navigate difficult situations—even when anxiety or self-doubt is present..
The Authentic Self: The Authentic Self is your grounded, capable, and confident core. This is the part of you that feels connected, calm, and aligned with your values. When the Inner Champion is leading, and the Inner Ogre is quiet, your Authentic Self is able to step forward and guide your actions with clarity and confidence.
How the Inner Triad Operating System™ Works
When you begin to recognize these three parts, you create space between your thoughts and your reactions. Instead of being overwhelmed by self-criticism, anxiety, or emotional reactivity, you’re able to pause, reflect, and choose a more helpful response.
This system helps you:
• Identify patterns of negative thinking
• Reduce shame and self-criticism
• Strengthen emotional regulation
• Build confidence and resilience
• Navigate anxiety and rejection sensitivity more effectively
• Respond to challenges with more clarity and intention
Incorporating the Inner Triad Operating System™ into Daily Life
The key to using the Inner Triad Operating System™ is awareness and practice. Notice when your Inner Ogre is speaking and name it.
Pause before reacting and invite your Inner Champion to respond with compassion and encouragement. Over time, this shift allows your Authentic Self to take the lead more often.
This isn’t about perfection—it’s about building a new relationship with yourself, especially in moments of stress, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm.
